Finally got me a tikka to play with and was curious as to which base and scope rings are the best? ?. Are the leupold bases good on top of the rail mount?.. thanks in advance

Talley Lightweights are good. EGW Heavy Duty rail and the rings of your choice the best.. Warne also makes some good rings/mounts..

I use Warne rings for the Tikka receiver and a Warne/Weaver style base and QD Warne rings on mine.
The lightweight Talley rings modified by 16Bore are outstanding and if you can get past the sight of them on your rifle, the OEM rings that come with the rifle are functional, although I would not use them on a hard kicking rifle.
Lots of choices out there.

I am a big fan of the Warne Maximas that mount directly to the tikka rail, never had a problem with them. Best of all, they are reasonably priced!

I guess I am going to get a T3 Forest in 260, so I ordered the DMZ mediums from Amazon. 53 delivered, and free when I applied my CC points. Now I have to find time to drive 90 miles to the Tikka dealer. Thanks for the recommendation.
