Tried IMR 4350 and IMR 7828 with 175 Sierra bullets. Gun is a 700 Rem ADL and shhots real erratic. Anybody have any good loads or help. Loads group about 3-4 inches.

I would forget the 175gr bullets altogether if your rifle groups so poorly with them.I have found that r-22 has worked very well in my 7mm rem mags, and you would be hard pressed to find a better bullet than the 140gr tsx.Don't worry about the weight, the tsx retains much more of it's weight than other bullets, and penetrates as well as much heavier conventional bullets.

Browning A-bolt 26" tube.
IMR4831 63 grs (Max in this rifle), 215M, 3.290", Norma Brass, 160 gr. Accubond, 2980 fps average. 3/4" group @ 100m.
If you want to try this load, make sure you work up to the max.

175 grain Nosler Partition, 68 grains Retumbo (max), mag primer, 26 inch bbl, 2940 fps.

From Nosler #5, works for me.

I have a Winchester Custom Super Grade in 7mm RM. It shoots l75 grain bullets better than any other weight except maybe 154 Hornadys. With the 175 gr. bullets I use 7828 powder. I can't print the charge weight because it is a few grains over book max. (As you may or may not know, charge weights fluctuate widely in different guns to achieve standard velocities.) With the charge weight I use the velocity is about 2920 fps., case life is good and no pressure signs show up.
If you have a chronograph start low, record the results (both velocity and accuracy) and see what your gun likes.
Good luck.

I dropped a bull last fall with a 175 grain A-frame out of my Tikka T3 Lite in 7mm. One shot, no tracking required. My gun shoots the factory Remington A-Frames sub MOA.

I stand corrected , it was 175 grain TBBC not A-Frame.

175g North Fork, A-Frame or Trophy Bonded. Second choice would be 160g in same bullets.

I would not use a Sierra bullet on a moose or anything bigger then a deer. I took two big bull moose last year with the 175 Nosler and a max charge of RL 22. MV is 2,988 fps in my rifle.
Both were one shot kills in the shoulder and out the other side.
That load is very accurate in my rifle with groups running an inch or less.

Hey I'm with XXBOB on bullet choice. My 7Rem. Mag load for 175 gr. nosler is 66.5 grs. of RL 22. This load is a good-en as they say. I have used it in 4diff. 7 mags. It will shoot less than an inch at 100 yards. It puts Elk and Moose to the ground..

Best of luck <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
