Probably even that measly 2.5" oughta do it. O'course that Elk might just stand there........but then it's probably just the bullets' fault.

I'm thinking colateral damage, and wondering if you'd get pass throughs so there would be a good enough blood trail for tracking.

I've never lifted one of those. Idaho has a 16 lb limit for gun and scope combined. Are those over our limit?

Got a lock on that Rock Chuck. The M20 weighs 14 pounds. You got to practice though because when you start it is muzzle light so you are pulling down on the front. Then when the rocket takes off it very suddenly gets muzzle heavy and if you aren't carefull you will shoot the ground just in front of your feet.
