I don't care what anyone says....even the biggest squirrel can't take a "lunger" from that and survive.

Probably even that measly 2.5" oughta do it. O'course that Elk might just stand there........but then it's probably just the bullets' fault.

I'm thinking colateral damage, and wondering if you'd get pass throughs so there would be a good enough blood trail for tracking.

Not gonna work...I don't see any place to mount my 20-60x80mm scope. I'm a guessin' those are for hunting the heavy timber. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

I've never lifted one of those. Idaho has a 16 lb limit for gun and scope combined. Are those over our limit?

Got a lock on that Rock Chuck. The M20 weighs 14 pounds.
You got to practice though because when you start it is muzzle light so you are pulling down on the front. Then when the rocket takes off it very suddenly gets muzzle heavy and if you aren't carefull you will shoot the ground just in front of your feet.
Do not ask me how I know. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

I guess the mountain rifle version would be the M72 LAW. About 5 and a half pounds. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Looks like another Jack O'Connor (standing) and Elmer Keith thread to me !!
Jack is preaching the virtue's of his favorite elk bazooka to his red neck buddy. Elmer is politly waiting his turn to tutor the Professor on 25mm+ for elk, or the durn things bounce off !
Great pic !
