He is not doing very well at all. The back surgery looked like it was successful and was going to help at first, then things went bad again. On top of that, there are compressed disks at the base of his neck where it meets his shoulders. Karnis (Carlos) has pain down his legs and in his arms and shoulders. Headaches almost constantly, and according to my conversation with him a few minutes ago he does not sleep very much due to all the pain.
I do not expect him to be seen around here for a while as it is painful to look down and type and he is in no mood for the negativity that has been too prevalent and pervasive here. Life is hard enough, but his especially. I can see why he would not want to get into the personal vendetta's etc. that are now all too common here.
Anyway, back to the core of this post, Carlos needs our prayers for peace, sleep and healing of his neck, back, and radiating pain down his limbs as well as headaches and sleeplessness.
I am so glad of and proud of the rifle stock he re did for me as a "GET WELL!" present before he became so ill and I treasure it. The re done stock made me again hope to go back to Africa with the 416 Rigby that it wraps. There is no price one can put on a gift of hope and a dream re kindled like he did for me.
Thanks again to the campfire family for holding up our friend in prayers. He really sounds down and pained on the phone, and this pains ME. I mad some suggestions to him on the phone and in an e-mail to him for some remedies that My Dr's use which help me a lot (No, not cannabis.. not legal where he lives) like pain blocking shots,a TENS machine, Lidocaine patches etc. and I hope that his Dr's will get a lot more pro active and intentional about helping him with less pain and better quality of life.
Carlos, if you read this Sherri and I are praying for you and care about you. I don't remember Karnis being involved in any chicanery around here on any threads that I've read. A pretty petty and vile move there projecting your bs into a thread that was titled something else. Best wishes to Karnis. Nothing new. Every post he makes eventually ends up being about him. That just how it goes for a narcissist. Pathetic. Narcissism is a mental disorder and those afflicted are unable to recognize the disorder (even with outside influence).

Karnis is a good dude, and he'll get up and running again.. And I also know he won't use his present condition to manipulate people and seek gain from it.
I replace valve cover gaskets every 50K, if they don't need them sooner...
