Those would be different, as the Winchester that made those no longer currently exists, and is very unlikely to ever exist again. Last I heard, all current "Winchesters" are now made by Browning, and manufactured in Japan. A Japanese Winchester (especially a Model 94} is blatant blasphemy.

From what I've heard, the only complaints about the new Rem-Lins involved quality control issues when they started production at the new plant. Everything I've heard about recent production guns are that those issues have been resolved, and that the quality is now as good as it ever was. As long as they continue that, then in another year, or two, people will have forgotten all about the early QC issues, and will not care whether the barrel is stamped "JM", or "REM". The reason "JM" guns currently command a premium is because of that perception.

Anyone seen any in stores yet? I can't find any around I spoke with a sales rep from Zanders (wholeseller) yesterday, they still do not have them in stock, but have been accepting backorders. I've got a 308 backordered; kinda wish I'd gone 7mm-08.

So long as the 223 stainless is 9 twist, it'll work for me.
