I did my cousin's 700 Varmint with them. Follow the instructions and it should come out fine. I had never done one before, so we took our time and did it slow and carefully. The rifle was a hard case that had never shot right, and we got it on track with the work (went from 1.25" groups to under .3" or so, it was BAD!) That was some years ago, probably 2002, and I don't remember too much about the particulars, only that the rifle sucked real bad before we did the work, and now it shoots pretty good. I can't deliver any tips or real worthwhile insight, we just read, re-read, and read the instructions again, to get it going. We DID use slave screws for the stock, but that's about all I got for ya.
