I bought this used stock about 1 year back thinking it may fit a 1899 in .303, as it was advertized on ebay as fitting 99 or 1899. Someone had indicated such in Pencil on the butt. It did not fit my 1899. I suspect it was made for a 99A. Dimensions as follows: 16 inches total length, top tang opening 3& 1/16 inches, bottom tang opening 5 inches, and will accept a 5& 1/4 inch long stock bolt. The stock has a couple of issues and I have taken pics. There is NO tang crack. But there is a chip from toe, and slight sanding marks near butt edge. Thanks. I would like to recover most of my cost if possible. How about $55 shipped?

Hey there. Has it been sanded around the receiver so it's shy of the metal?

No sanding marks other than at the edge of the butt.

After serial 90,000 the length of the tang was shortened. To bad it doesn't have a pistol grip. I'd take it if it had one.
