For example, changing a duplex to fine duplex.

It was $60 for my 3x. Went from crosshair to duplex and this was 3-4 months ago.

Wow, that is more reasonable. I was looking at a VX-3 4.5-14x40 with AO. I found one with a fine duplex and standard turrets and one with a duplex and CDS for close to the same money. I am going to use it on my 222 Remington and I think I could live with the duplex instead of fine duplex, but if I can't I wanted to see which would be the least expensive to swap, the CDS or the reticle. I checked with Leupold about upgrading to a CDS and it would cost about $150, but I didn't ask about the reticle change option. It looks like I would be money ahead to go with the CDS and change the reticle later.

I just sent two scopes out yesterday and was told it depends on the reticle.
$59.99 for a "standard" reticle. In my case that was a heavy duplex on a 2.5x scout and a Post & Duplex on a 6x42.

Also, $89.99 for a M1 Elevation turret on another 6x I sent out a few weeks back.
