Can anyone tell me if Remington ever made a 20' barrel stainless model seven in 7mm SAUM?. And what would be the advantage over just having a 7mm-08rem in a 24' barrel. Thanks

I think that all of the stainless Model Sevens in 7mm SAUM were cataloged with 22" barrels. I have owned three of them, all with 22" barrels.
The 7mm SAUM has the advantage of greater case capacity than the 7mm-08, but whether the additional velocity potential is useful to you depends on your specific needs.
I have been told to think of the 7mm SAUM as a short action version of the 280AI. My 7mm SAUM is a stainless 700 with a 24" barrel. It is a nice cartridge, but I can't see that its performance is enough different from the more common and less expensive 270 to give it an advantage.

I never saw a factory 20" barrel in a Model 7 SAUM. My Model 7 7mm SAUM has a 22" barrel.
