These were seen on a scouting trip in NW NV last season. Got this one years ago just over the line near Doyle CA.

Friend Bill, from the Twin Cities, with a nice dark antlered buck he took with his .220 swift. Uncle Jerry, from Iowa with his first Mule deer. "Doc" and I go back a long way.....he took this great buck in the Missouri Breaks back in 1986.

Bob, the big whitetail was from the CO plains, the Muley from NE, the 2 light colored whitetails from KS and the dark one from TN.

Doc with a nice four point he shot after I made a one on one push through a strip of cover we saw him go into at dawn. Montana's Powder River, 1982. This one takes me back....way back! That's an old Ruger 77, .220 Swift. And back even farther...1972. My friend with his first buck. He used my Husqvarna .270. We weren't old enough to drive, so my dad dropped us off at the base of the mountain before daylight, and picked us up after dark. Tragically, my friend was killed in a car wreck when he was only 20 years old.

My pal, Owen with a buck we got in the fall of 2003. He made a great shot on him with his 7 STW at 420 yards. If I recall he used a 140gr Partition. Took this buck with my Sako .220 Swift. Friend Chip from Minnesota with a good buck he shot with his .240 Weatherby.

John used his 25/06 on this one. 200 yards, give or take. He came back a year later and scored on this nice 3X4 with his .308. Cousin John with his best buck. Taken with a .257 Weatherby. Pretty sweet buck with almost zero deduct.

I'm ashamed to admit, I have a bit of a curse when it comes to hunting mule deer even though its the deer I like to hunt most. I've been pretty fortunate to kill plenty, but have never been able to take a clean 4x4. I've killed some nice 3x4's but still searching for the one 4by:) This was the best I coulda/shoulda had, the buck was spotted by my now ex-wife - this fellow decided he should shoot it instead-grin Big 3 Decent buck from a 2 years ago - couple days after the season ended - 4x4!!

Oregon: Who isn't jinxed by big 4x4's? Anyone who has hunted them a lot has been out smarted. They are not easy. You will get one. Nice buck you got.

Bob, that CO deer was bedded in some knee high grass and you couldn't see him. When he would stand up, he looked like a truck and when he would sit back down, he vanished. I had the spotter on him at 300yds and when he sat down, I lost him totally. Always amazed how they can disappear like that.
