Does anyone have an idea about the rarity, desirability and value of a Model 70 Target Model in .22 Hornet. I will be selling one soon which is in about 80% condition. The wood is good, but it has some freckling and loss of blue. It is a 1946 model, and is equipped with a Lyman 48 receiver sight and aperture front sight.

Definitely one you don't see everyday!
A pre-war, with Unertl, has been on Gun broker since before Thanksgiving. Is this one in the same condition as the .22 hornet?

Photos would be very nice, my email is abrockcattlecogmail.com I would love to look at both.My all time favorite ,top of the food chain mod 70 was Mr Roger Rules' , .257 Roberts Varminter on page 280 and 281 in his book (paperback Im unsure on the hardback. That gun is a Special order, Class 1, SN. 581,257 , Mr Nick Kusmit engraved it. I spoke with Mr Rule a couple weeks ago about it. A Dr. / oilman hit a well and bought it from Mr Rule in the late 80's for a whopping 32.5 K !!! OH WELL so much for that bad boy! Mr Rule is about as nice a fellow as I or my late wife has every dealt with. very best winpoor

I found it. That rifle is in better condition than mine. Mine has some bluing loss, particularly on the barrel.

I just happen to remember that I have another 22 Hornet: its a Model 54 Standard rifle. I will be putting it up for sale as well.

I had one of these. It had one of the old target scopes on it...6X or 8X as I recall.

Bought it from a mail carrier in Vermont years ago.I was still in college... I won't say what I paid, but it was so little I would not be much help estimating value.

The 280 Remington is overbore.

The 7 Rem Mag is over bore.
