I really like that Tactical Hunter, except that it retains the HTG comb. Yeah, an adjustable setup is available, but shouldn't be needed. It wasn't the front half of the HTG that folks had problems with. A higher fixed comb would have yielded a winner.
Now with even more aplomb

Same issue as with the A1-3. They changed the wrong end.
Some shooting knowledge: Don't stand in front of the muzzle. Some hunting knowledge: Too much noise ruins the hunt.

Same issue as with the A1-3. They changed the wrong end. A1-3 has a higher comb than the HTG. Drop on A1-3 is 5/16". Drop on HTG is 5/8". My A1-3's comb height is perfect for me with a pic rail and standard Badger rings. It's high enough that McMillan cuts a channel on top of the comb for bolt removal.

Ordered a Manners last week and I'll compare wait times. I've had several Mcmillans on order for months.

Make an A5 without the butthook and I'm in. Otherwise I'll stick with the A3.

They should have raised the comb without messing with the forend. The one on the A1-3 is ergonomically worse than a brick.

The Remington Safari is good for a laugh. My thoughts as well. Should sell the he11 out of them.

This is not stock pattern related, but a new offering. McMillan is offering a new molded-in finish called the Spectre pattern in different color schemes. The finish mimics digital camouflage.

I've had a Tactical Hunter Adj. for about two years. Guess they've finally added it to their catalog. It's a good general purpose stock and I like forend being a bit wider than the HTG.
