You kidding? I could like that, but thought I'd read where you had no love for laminates, or actually anything w/ grain.

Gees, can't a guy enjoy his new rifle without somebody here chiming in they can do better? Come on!!! Too bad Flower did not mention what scope he is going to mount on it so you can jack him up on that too!

Flower: Enjoy! sounds like a winner and you are enjoying it!

yep, FC just got a new rifle that he has been waiting for, and is rightfully excited about.

Would be nice if we, his cyber buddies, could just share in his excitement. But some apparently feel the need to show to us all that they are smarter, better, more experienced, and could have done it "better"(.....................!)

FC: enjoy your new rifle, most of us are happy for/with you; and please keep us posted on how it performs!

Flower: Sounds like a fun gun. Post some speeds if you get a chance to clock it.

I guess I don't have the connection Stick does. My gun that I had built is at the 1 year mark and still not done. Had to order the barrel which took a couple months. Then my smith is at least 6 months backed up, and then you wait another 4 from McMillan.

I can like laminate,as compared to injection or Walnut.

The LSS Classic would be a ready for bidness, over the counter tool, ala LSS Mountain Rifles...................

Point is/was the .264 blank is hardly a rarity on most 'Smith's shelves and same goes a 264Win reamer.

We'd talk turkey perhaps,if it were a .257" or somethin' else.

6.5's ain't my gig..................

Source the components as you go...pick up a stock or two here and there, an action or two also...pretty soon you can scratch whatever itch ails you, just with what's layin' around....

At least, that's what seems sound to me......

I've had more than a few Sendero's,VSSF's,VS's,VLS's,etc.

All shot nicely, but the Sendero handle is an ergonomic abortion, coupled by poor materials/worksmanship.

The VLS with beavertail,is alotta rifle for the jingle IMHO,but CM Remmie tubes foul worse than their S/S cousins in my experience.

Many are unaware what $1K will yield, now fewer of them folks are oblivious.

No shame in educatin' the masses.........................

The procedure is outlined above.

Lotsa folks carry McMillan handles, ready to roll. Same goes blanks,of all flavors.

Your ignorance, ain't my burden, nor is your 'Smith's tardiness on my shoulders.

When you get to thinkin' about it,a week really ain't that long.

How's the year wait working for you?!!?.................(grin)

I have a .25x10 Krieger also, .30 yep, .22 got that to, want a 6mm x 10, I can do that..

My point is, no matter what you carry there's always folks that want another caliber or twist or contour.. So they're not likely to get it assembled in a week.. Aw the hell with it..

I know it must sound arrogant to you,

but believe me, most of us actually think we can survive without your guidance.

Stick, not a lot of McMillans laying around that are in GAP camo, and to my specific blank. And my smith is very popular which creates backlogs. Just like my taxidermy, only takes me a day to mount a deer, but when you have a pile of them to do it adds up.

The year wait isn't bad, no different than every other gun i don't own yet. I have plenty of toys to keep my busy. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
