I realize this has probably been covered but I couldn't find anything current.
I have a barn with quite a few things worth monitoring. This barn is located on a lake and is our weekend getaway place. I am considering purchasing a video monitoring system. I think 8 cameras should cover sufficiently.
Anyone have any personal experience with a particular product. I don't want to break the bank, but I do want a quality product.
Some of my wants would be: DVR capability, remote monitoring by smartphone or other such device, night time surveillance capabilities, and quality video.

As far as what I want to spend, I have looked at many units online and they seem to range from around $300 to $1000 with the sky being the actual limit. I was looking to stay below $700 or so but, don't want to sacrifice quality for a few $.

There will be internet access and there is electricity already there.

7-day rolling service is $99 for the first camera and $49 for the second.

Cloud service to record is $99 for one camera or $149 for two cameras.
