If being stupid allows me to believe in Him, I'd wish to be a retard. Eisenhower and G Washington should be good company.

Trying to hide the ball, not his balls....Proven to not enhance pitching performance as a starter, may have some situational relief success much the same as a submariner

Wasted motion that doesn't do anything to improve his leverage down the mound. Probably uses it to improve his balance point before starting forward. That's from the windup, so what does he do inthe stretch? Kick like that and runners will steal all day. Not even JGRaider could throw them out.

IIRC, some of the old-timers in the majors had kicks nearly that high.. Sandy Koufax comes close - so did Satchel Paige.
You want weird? Watch a few tapes of Luis Tiant.. It was jokingly said that, during a game, he'd be looking in the eyes of a different fan in the stands upon each delivery..
I recall watching him during his time with the Twins.. He'd turn a full 180, or more, before sending one over the plate..

Juan Marichal had a very high leg kick and also swung a mean bat when aimed at a skull - ask John Rosboro.
Luis Tiant presented the batter with a bewildering bit of twisting and turning before serving up the ball. I believe that it was Curt Gowdy who informed a national television audience that, "Tiant comes from everywhere but between his legs".

Willmar, "Vinegar Bend", Mizell was noted for his high leg kick.
The old story is, the power comes from the legs, not the arm.

Tianty was HOOT! He came at you from everywhere and had a great sense of humor...loved the game.

The pitchers that got to Cooperstown are mostly hurlers that had solid mechanics.
Tom Seaver, and Bob Gibson being two examples.

Saw him at our local park when I was 15. Four of them vs. a full nationally ranked professional SB team. Struck a dude out pitching from 2nd base! Struck a dude out blindfolded! Feigner must have been 60 then. What was he like at 30?? BTW - Guys, the "old" timers used the big leg kick back when the mound was 6" higher. MLB lowered the mount in 1969. Gibson, McClain, and Drysdale were putting bat makers out of business.

My favorite pitching motion of all-time was Tom Glavines.
Fluid, consistent, no unnecessary moving parts, just a thing of phuggin beauty.
