Are your populations consistent up there from year to year? seems boom and bust here in Utah and also where i shot them today in Idaho. Some years they're everywhere, others its slim pickins.
Had a good time today, went with 150rds and came home with spent hulls.Good but not the 500+ rounds a day type that it can be.
I made it up pretty high on the hill today, we are a good month ahead of spring here.

No. Populations arent consistent at all. Yesterday we hit a couple fields that hadn't produced in the last five years, and burned 800 rounds of 223 and 204. Ground completely dug up.

While Nash and I were out and about a couple days ago looking for sheds, Nash walked out a ridge and this coyote jumped up.. Nash skinned his .22 smokewagon and took aim at the running coyote, which was about 80-100 yards away, and shot at it. He hit it in the neck, and down it went.
