Have a 6inch Security Six bought used, but it needs a good going-over and maybe new parts. I want the barrel cut and recrowned to 5inches and the frame changed to a round butt. Anyone have any recommendations for a skilled pistolsmith they like or know about? I live in WA state, but expect to have seriously consider going out of state. Recommendations please? THANK YOU for your help!

David may work on it but I know when I asked about having my 610 rechambered to 10mm Magnum and having the chambers chamfered he said he is too busy to take on anything else right now and maybe he could do it in 3 to 4 months. Since he has my GP100 no one should send anything else in that might slow him down!!!

He is pretty particular about what he works on as his tooling dictates "ease of production" if I can say such a thing about as fine a builder as Dave (I have owned a couple). On the other hand, I have given Alan Harton a crazy mix of projects and he got excited about every one of them. Just different business models and both fine at their craft.
