Now, I like rice pudding, but it has to be baked in the oven, and have nutmeg in it, and a vanilla bean, but not cinnamon, though a few pods of cardamom and a small amount of lemon zest works too. Served hot with a dash of cream, or cold with a dash of cream, always with cream. NO RAISINS ! I agree with almost everything you posted, but good lord woman.. no cinnamon?! Please tell me that you use lots of cinnamon in an apple pie at least! I am assuming that as a Canuck with discriminating tastes, you will be completing that apple pie with a slice of cheddar! John Always cinnamon in an apple pie As for a cheddar cheese slice ? No, family members eat it that way, and they eat it with ice cream, but myself, I like it plain, with a cup of tea. So, now that I have disappointed you, how are you even ?

My girl kid loves it too and makes the best I've ever had!
i always get rice pudding duties.
It HAS to have cinnamon and raisins, or it's............just rice.

Made tapioca pudding Friday night. Added a little nutmeg, would've added a few drops of rum extract but I've run out. Stupid country supermarket doesn't stock it regularly. Really enjoyed it but then I was probably fed poi as an infant.

She also made custard in that big yellow bowl. When that came out good things were in store.

John, many of these people would probably bad-mouth ostkaka as well. I love ostkaka!! My cousin (duckster here on24HCF) married a girl of Swedish descent. The first time I saw it I was skeptical, but after tasting it I was sold. Good eats! Mike
