Spiegel #9673564 03/10/15 Joined: Jul 2003 Posts: 1,738 central Maine Plab OP Campfire Regular OP Plab Campfire Regular Joined: Jul 2003 Posts: 1,738 central Maine I picked up a "Spiegel" yesterday. ser# 377043 checkered butt stock,uncheckered forearm. has a sling I think maybe original ? is there anyway to ID a sling ?? it has a Lyman tang sight but the post is missing.I could use a post if anyone has parts ? plab Last edited by Plab; 03/10/15. The sling studs are a replacement, but no big deal there. Just got mine a while back. The more I look at it, the more I like it. “The Savage 99 Pocket Reference”. They are like the old Stevens sling studs used on the Stevens high power rifles.
