Ask RDFinn to show you a pic or two of his Remington African Plains model. That is one nice looking rifle, and is probably the right weight for a 300WM.

I have had a few KS's 300 rum lightweights from the custom shop and an AWR. No problems with recoil

Howa or Vanguard would be a good bet too. Not light, but dont know that I would enjoy a 6 pound 300.

a 300 Win Mag "kicks" with 180 gr bullets ? wow , really ?
I have a maybe 10 lb Win 70 CRF synthetic stocked 300 Win Mag that I shot the barrel out on with 180 gr and 200 gr bullets and never noticed the "kick" .....
Am I missing something ?

Believe everybody who said you do not want a lightweight 300 WM. About 8.5 # scoped is about as light as I can stand and shoot well. If you plan to carry in steep country maybe 8# but not any lighter IMHO.

OP
I find the 300's have more "smack" than the 338 but that might be personal preference. If I want to shoot a 180 grain bullet I believe the 30-06 will get the job done. If I want more punch than the 30-06 I pull out my 338 Win and use 250 grain bullets.
I would tend to agree with the earlier poster and if you really want the 300 WM take a some time to kick around gun shops and the net sites for a "deal" as some guys who buy a 300 WM will take an offer just to get rid of it as too much gun for their needs. That way you can make a better decision based on your own experience with the 300 WM. You can generally get your money out of any gun and move up.

Why does a man who is 50 pounds overweight complain about a 10 pound rifle being too heavy?

My savage m111 long range hunter is awesome, im super accurate with it. It has an adjustable brake and feels like a 308.

I have never heard of this company before today. I just looked at their website and some of their stuff does in fact look nice. What type of accuracy have you gotten out of your rifles?

Short answer excellent.

Here is a very lengthy thread discussing the MRC.
