a fairly rare #1 in .475 Turnbull: #1 Liberty in .270 a Cabelas .30-40 #1A A 475 Turnbull. Holy sledge hammers Batman! Those are some beautiful #1s you have there. I had one in 6mm Rem years ago. It was my walking varmint rig with a 10X Leupold on her. Coupled with a M700 BDL Varmint in the same caliber I had the woodchuck business down pat. Gotta love a nice #1.

358win all weather and target. It's been wearing a Leupold VX2 3-9x40 German #4 for a few years now. I'd love to add a short 44mag to my line up. Very nice. However, that looks like a Nikon monarch UCC scope.... I like the colors of the stock too.. Very correct. Straight 4x Nikon that won't adjust anymore. Turn the knobs, no shift in impact at all. Still sitting on my bench waiting for me to get motivated enough to send back to Nikon for a fix. Thanks for the complements, painted the stock myself.

Holy sheep [bleep] Fotis! That just may be the nicest #1 I've ever seen. And that's saying something as there are a bunch of beautiful #1s out there. B-damn-utiful!

No, I'm not a Ruger bigot - just an unabashed fan of their revolvers, M77's and #1's.
A good .30-06 is a 99% solution.

Admittedly, they are not for everyone. But they are great shooters, reasonably lightweight and about as indestructible as you can make a rife. I like them - a lot.

I worked up some elk hunting fodder for a hunting buddy a couple years ago. He uses a boat paddle as well in 300 WM. I was skeptical I must admit. That thing ended up clover leafing 180gr Hornady Spire Points! A healthy charge of RL22 and that baby started to drill some nice little groups. He has killed a couple elk with it since. I've been watching for a deal on one ever since.
