I'm diggin' the firepit, Dan. Looks like a tank head from Trinity that I used to weld. I need one on our deck.

As someone who was pretty much set on getting a Kamado Joe this spring (BGE style) - what's the advantage of a WSM over the flower pot?
The reason I was thinking KJ was efficiency in burn, particularly in the winter.
Have you noticed a difference between WSM/BGE when it comes to maintaining temps/lump expenditure?
Figure DigiQ for each- regardless.

I can easily smoke at 225-250 for 20 plus hours on one decent load of lump in my Egg or KJ. WSM? Not a chance..

Figure DigiQ for each- regardless. I have a Pellet grill as well, another advantage to the BGE over most smokers is keeping things moist. For example I really hate wrapping a brisket, I've tried a couple on the Traeger and wrapping is almost a must. I never have to open the lid on the BGE and don't want to.

I like the Weber, cooked at 250 degrees for 16 hours last weekend without feeding it.
