Thanks for posting. That's a good idea. I have a several sets of antlers laying around that would make a few good sling shots.

Rufus passed away about 2 years before I got to Randolph County.

Folks here still talk about him.

You could easily spend three figures obtaining one of his signed or serialized "bean shooters"

My Grandadd, who was a carpenter use to carve really nice ones with his old Shrade pocket knives when we were kids. He'd cut up an old inter tube for the propulsion. Only he didn't call em slingshots. wink

another thing with antlers the offset lends its self to aiming.

I could tell right off in the video that this is the Old North State. There are not many left here like old Rufus. I miss his generation and the way things were here not too many years ago. I was lucky to have grown up around folks like Rufus.
