Will a 1-10" twist .338 RUM stabilize a 300 grain Sierra Match King? IIRC, Sierra also makes a 250 grain version, but it would be my second choice.

I've ran the 300 mSierra's in several sporter 340's with 10 twists in them and they shot wonderfully.
Good luck to ya

That's good enough for me. I've read enough of you and JonA to know that you guys know of what you speak.
I know magazine feeding won't be an option, single feed is fine with me, considering the application.
I know your heart belongs to Roy's .340 Mark, but on the chance you know of someone using the 300's in a RUM what powder/charge would be a good start? My initial thought would be R25, but I would like suggestions.

I use the 10 twist for my 338 Lapua AI in both my hunting rifle and my competition barrel. Shoot the 250 in the sporter and the 300 in the competition barrel both shoot very satisfactorily.

River-a friend of mine uses a 300 RUM for most all that moves. He is one of the best and most succesful hunters there is out there now. (for whatever that is worth)
He runs a 200 Accubond and R25, I've no idea of what the charge is.
R25 is where I would start and if it were me I'd try the 180 TSX and the 168 TSX and see which one perked the best.

<img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> I may have crossed the wires a bit in an attempt to save key strokes.
What I was inquiring about was a powder for the .338 RUM to drive the 300 grain MK. Appreciate the input.

Got you sorry, but I would still give R25 a go. How much I've no clue.
