Beretta MATO in .270
Dakota Action, HS Precision Stock, not sure on barrel manufacturer(mixed answers) This rifle shoots everything well. Never hand loaded for it. Any factory ammo I've put thru it, was fantastic. Has been hunted with years ago. Not taken it out in at least 3 years. Too many other rifles and this is the only reason I'm trying to sell this one. Great rifle, great condition over all. Couple scratches toward end of barrel right on top, layer in against my pack one day trying to get my stuff together (just shot a nice 10 point) and didn't pay attention....brushed against the rock pile I was sitting in. Anyhow, that's it, other wise perfect. Not sure if I can get the pictures posted. Will gladly send pics if desired.
Scope not included.
$1175 shipped

I need to check. I think I have a couple boxes of Federal Premium 130 Barnes x bullets I'll throw in.

Both myself and a close friend have this identical rifle and love them: accuracy, trigger, quality synthetic stock, 3 position wing safety, absolutely everything. if this was in 300 WM we'd be all over it. bump

Thanks. These are great rifles. This just doesn't get a lot of play anymore. I want to sell a couple $1000-1200 rifles and buy one that is north of $4000. I can't justify if I don't get rid of some rifles I don't shoot.
Thanks
Nick

Is the action marked Dakota just behind the bolt handle? If so your selling this gun short of its value.

it does not say Dakota. No one; however, can tell me who made the action after Dakota and Beretta parted ways....

Beretta took over production, I believe. The only verified Dakota actions are marked.

Not sure. No one can tell e with any confidence who built the actions after Dakota. This looks just like the Dakota action. If it's not, fooled me. Either way, this is a solid, accurate rifle. I would not get rid of if it weren't for all the others that get more attention. Bump it up for a nice hunting rifle in the venerable .270
