Did you note the hug from General Nicholas Carter, Chief of Staff? I don't believe our generals hug their soldiers. Might consider starting...in a "friendly...manly" sort of way.

Thanks for posting this. It seemed to me the most deserving are rarely recognized, and when they are they are humble. There were many times I saw awards given to undeserving making it hard to stomach and cheapening the whole recognition thing. A VC being awarded to a living recipient is rare indeed.
