Can't hardly do it anymore. Alan Jackson, George Straight are 2 exceptions. Then you got Blake Shelton and Keith Urban whoring themselves out on reality shows cause of their "expertise" along with a crack whore or a gay producer.
I have never been a huge country fan But sine I moved to MI 25 yes ago its part of the culture and even I can spot the difference between Alan Jackson and ....
But the post was really about the feeling that still runs through my bones about 9-11
I think in America some have already forgot and don't believe it could happen again I guess if that's how they deal with it its up to them
I know it could happen and still get the chill when I think about 9-11 and that song makes me remember very well
I think they should play it often, maybe after the Star Spangle Banner I hope most people will not forget I don't have Grandkids yet but I want to keep this country free and safe for them I cant think too much after that

You just won't hear em on the radio; thank God for Pandora.
I've heard them both on the radio around here, just not much. Local station has 'Red Dirt Revolver' every Friday night where they plan 100% non-Nashville crap. Its about the only country radio I listen to anymore except for the local country classic station.
Turning green here; you've got it good. When my son & I were cruising to Texas we heard some great stuff in Tulsa, but up here in occupied territory the most "country" they know is Tim-homo-McGraw .

More than likely you were listening to 99.5, one of the 2 country stations I tune into. They occasional play crap, Toby Keith, Alan Jackson, Garth Brooks, but they play a lot of good stuff as well. You can stream em..
