I mistakenly put two patches on my Patch Worm Pull through. And now it is stuck in the chamber. Please Help remove it without damaging my rifle.

Many Thanks

If you have access to a soft jawed vice, or not you can wrap cloth around a standard steel jawed vice, and clamp the rifle in it, then pull the bore snake the OPPOSITE way you got it stuck with.
Removing the stock first will help greatly, BTW.

Cheers.

I sincerely hope that you can get the stuck patch and jag out of your rifle, but it should be a wake-up call to those who believe that a pull-through is an adequate substitute for a good cleaning rod and proper fitting jag and patch.

I wish the commercial version had never been invented and marketed. IMO, they are of very limited practical value.

Compressed air in the muzzle end. Tight seal with a rubber tip on your blow gun.

IMHO, a pull through is for field emergencies like clearing water, snow, mud, etc. Not a good choice for gun maintenance. I carry one in my hunting pack and haven't used it... ever.

If you use air to clear it.....realize that when it comes out, it's going to be in a hurry. Keep the muzzle clear of anything you don't like.

Though I've never seen the device you speak of, I have cleared some uber stuck items by filling the bore with atf and using a wooden dowel that fit the bore to give it a wack. Expect oil to make a mess....but it worked more than once for me.
