Do we have any info indicating the relative rarity of the three most common Model 1895 barrel types i.e. 26" round, octagon, and half and half?

Currently, A & B at around 38% and C at around 17%. Earlier count had the A at 33% and the B at 45%. ...and Short Rifles at 2 each. If you have added a 1895 I would like to add the info to my data. I'm at a little under 400 now.

Interesting. 400 data points of total production of 5000-6000 is probably statistically significant. A's - ~2000 B's - ~2000 C's - ~1000 other - ~500
Has anyone had/taken the opportunity to analyze the Savage/Marlin ledgers 1895-99, A, B & C breakdown? Clark, Callahan, Murray,..?

We know that there were a few less than 100 muskets make for the Trial. So maybe another 50 (I only know of 2 so might be a lot less) for commercial sales.
I think there must have been a few more than 100 SRC as I have info on about 20. Regardless, the D & F's are a pretty hard to find item. --- Thanks for the serial, Dave. I didn't have that one. --- Rick, I think Roe counted the engraved 1895's but that is about it, that I know of.
