Caught this in the news:
"CAIRNS, Australia (AP) -- Steve Irwin, the hugely popular Australian television personality and conservationist known as the "Crocodile Hunter," was killed Monday by a stingray while filming off the Great Barrier Reef. He was 44."
Sad to hear when as I found him pretty funny at times.

Apparently they were filming a show about dangerous animals and he was above the stingray. It's stinger hit him in the chest and punctured Irwin's heart. I do feel very badly for his wife and children, or child. Tom Purdom

Idiot. It finally caught up with him. I feel sorry for his family. I disagree. Very few people on earth have the level of passion he did. He was goofy and corny but he inspired a lot of people to be interested in wildlife.

Does anyone here know how many people are killed by stingrays? Seems od.
I certainly feel for his wife, daughter and son. They will most likely move back to Roseberg where she grew up.

Enteraining and a conservationist, yes. But when one plays with the bulls, they will eventually get the horn. When he first appeared, I noted to the wife that he would not live a long and prosperous life. It is indeed sad he did not get to see his children grow up. 1Minute
