I've never thought much of needing a detachable mag setup in any rifle but I've found myself NEEDING one all of the sudden. Rifle will be a Rem 700 5r in 308 riding in a Manners T stock. Looking into CDI, PTG and HS Precision. Which ones are you guys liking now days and why?

I have used most of the DBM's on the market and prefer the Surgeon DBM by far.

Lumley Arms, APA, PTG, Badger....one thing I've settled on is AICS magazine compatible.
For hunting I do like the APA with the trigger guard integrated mag release.

Can you single feed with a empty AICS mag? The APA and R&D precision look like great setups.

Atlasworx makes good stuff and the exchange rate between the US and Australia can benefit you. I like the "updated lever" http://atlasworxs.com/cart/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=32If you're cheap and have a little time Magpul is releasing their "Hunter Magazine Well" soon. They're $70 and come with a poly magazine. https://www.magpul.com/products/bolt-action-magazine-well-%E2%80%93-hunter-700-stock

I'm considering the Seekins for a build, it looks to have a well thought out mag release, anyone tried the Seekins?

Any experience with DBM and WSMs? Been looking for a reliable feeding DBM for my 7 wsm and haven't seen anything conclusive

I'd prefer to go with something that fits in a Badger M5 inlet. I have had Badger and it's pricey for what it is. I have two Rem 700's now with PT&G flush fit and I like it. No problems. Only difference to me is that the PT&G is a glossier finish than the M5. If you have a stock inlet for the M5 footprint, it's easier to sell if you ever want to do that.
Also had the CDI and I'll never do it again. It has its own inlet and McMillan did not inlet mine deep enough and the mags would not feed without deepening the inlet. I never went through the trouble of sending back or sending to CDI and finally sold the stock and metal at a loss. Also, the CDI lever may need to be trimmed for feeding. The badger/PT&G is totally plug & play.
