You either dropped a zero for the range or you need a bigger scope

Talked to a buddy last night, that loves minis... but he admitted he just blasted... didn't care much about hitting snug groups.
Total waste for me. Even in my teens the blasting stuff didn't last long for some reason.
OTOH my mid 20s nephew is a blaster. Someone says unload the 22 pistol or whatever, we are done... you guessed it, ammo is cheap... LOL. He might not even do anything but point it at the ground.
Unfortunately for him, whenever he is out of ammo, his uncle usually can't find any to spare...

Try turning the scope 180* and look at the target from the objective end... What the heck, it can't hurt that group Then maybe you could call it a 1000 yd. group if it's a 10x scope....... Oh well it's all for fun anyways, it gives you a lot of opportunity for improvement !! Bill

I have shotguns that pattern better than that at a similar distance.

I found some of the parts for my Mini. I might have to give it a whirl

haters gonna hate. I'd say that grouping was deliberate, and shot to discredit a fine firearm.

FWIW, when I had a mini, I could do better @ 100 yards with their stock sights (granted not much better) ... Go figure?

I do, and I can certainly do better at 40 yards. Take off the scope covers.

I have some stuff on order. When it gets here I'll give the Mini a spin. Probably won't be with 77gr bullets, however

I honestly don't think a mini with a scope would shoot any worse than I do with an AR + 4 MOA aimpoint!

Bill Believe it or not, my neighbor brought me his 30-30 lever and asked me to look at the scope because he couldn't see the cross hairs. It was mounted on the rifle backwards. Bad thing is he actually was hunting with it like that. Here's your sign.

He hit the paper, so I call it a start, however humble it may be. Looks like 9 flyers per group, hey?
A local at the range made fun if my flinter one day as he prepped his AR. 50 yards. I did 5 in about 2", centered on the X, offhand. He did not cut paper with a full 30 rd mag from a rest. He got very contrite afterwards. All I could think to say was to keep trying, don't ever give up, etc. Managed to say that with a straight face.
God, make me that young again, please.
I am..........disturbed.
