I drew a 4th season unit 61 cow tag and will also buy a B list tag to hunt from home in unit 41, possibly archery.
I also drew pronghorn tag, 14 points, who would have guessed.
Unit 41 3rd season buck tag too.
Wiffed on the Moose, again.

WE drew 3 season buck and 4 season eithersex for elk. My brother did the same. will be nice to hunt with him. it has been 18 years since we hunted together.

My son and I drew our first choice for bull down in unit 80,81. we draw in a group, so usually there are 7-12 in any given year.

3rd season bull for me
A good friend pulled a bighorn tag so I will go help him the first week of September
Now if my good buddy comes through with a pronghorn voucher for me I will be making 3 trips to Colorado this fall

Either sex tag for 23, first rifle hunt. Probably need to kill something this year or the wife is going to think that whatever I'm doing, I'm not really hunting...

Strange, at first the backdoor showed successful draw results without a PP , yet now a PP and my second elk choice.
It's all good, and I am over due for an elk, or two!
Got my Buck tag to add something excitement to the hunt!
I am really enjoying GMU 15 , after seeing dozens of game units. 15 offers a challenge that I believe I played wrong. 15 offers a very dense game cover, with tons of hunting pressure. I concentrated on out hunting the pressure with hours, I need to add distance and tactic.
Leg shaking already!
I am excited for another good year.

The only thing I drew was a cow elk tag in a unit that has been undersubscribed.

I drew my Meeker, CO cow tag in addition to my either sex Archery Elk, which is OTC in Colbran, CO.
Deer, Antelope, and Moose I just requested preference points again.

Deer and elk preference points for me.
Then a cow tag for Units 12, et.al. (Meeker)
Also a cow tag for same units for son-in-law.
Daughter #1 and soon-to-be son-in-law will have to put in for OTC bull tags or leftovers.

Our party of 4 drew out for first rifle season this year but, we are working with an outfitter. This will be our first time hunting the 1st rifle season. We have not been successful the past 4 years hunting the 2nd rifle season so, I am hopeful this year.
Start young, hunt hard, and enjoy God's bounty.
