I have the dispenser/scale combo. The scale has gotten to where it goes to sleep (freezes). It will also start jumping all over the place. I sent the scale and power supply to them in February(yes February). They finally sent it back to me last week. No change. It is doing the exact same thing and and is missing one of the feet as well !! Evidently, they are not the company that they once were. I called again today and they are having me send it back in to them. F them. I am going to get me that Lyman Gen 6.

I went through three tries with one of their scales some years ago and finally just tossed it and went back to my 5-10 RCBS. Same with one of their chronographs...

I had an older Mk-IV chrono/timer that worked well for years. It died and they couldn't fix it. They sold me a new Model 1-XP and I got the IR lenses. I had to rig up the IR set up with a 6 volt battery, as they were made for a plug. I told the guy there wasn't a plug where I shot.
OK with that. Then, I couldn't get any consistent readings. I even made a tunnel for the IR to limit sunlight, still not much better. Working without the IR wasn't that good, and that's why I went to the trouble to try the IR.
I sent it back and they have it. Wish I'd never let them sell me the "upgrade", although the price was good.
Waiting...

Oehler is the classic, but pretty complicated to set up.
The Magnetospeed looks good. I didn't go there due to cost of the V3, but I now see a much less expensive Sporter model, but it seems to be sold out.
Does anyone know the difference between these two?

Not, took a grand total of 10 min to assemble and start shooting yesterday.

My PACT scale and dispenser has worked great, no problems when I sent it back a few years ago.
My scale was acting wacky and I called, I had reversed the power supplies and that was the only problem.

Quit weighing charges and your life will be easier. I only weigh to set the thrower then let 'em fly.

DF There's a chart showing the differences on their website. I posted a link to it in a reply to you on a previous thread but you must have missed it.

You'll just end up starting a thread titled "Lyman is a real piece of excrement" five years from now. I'd get a Redding balance beam and measurer. Travis

No reason in the frigging world to run an electronic measure/dumper.
As stated, set and verify with a beam scale then dump the rest.

Since the magnetospeed attaches to the end of the barrel, wouldn't it affect barrel harmonics to some degree? Notice any difference in POI or group sizes shooting with vs without? It certainly looks convenient though and the price is reasonable.

Throw ten charges together, weigh the aggregate, and slide the decimal point over one place. Which direction? Darwin can help sort that out in specific cases.
