I just figured out that the safety adjustment screw on the factory Mark X adjustable trigger appears to be stripped. In the copy of the manual I have this is screw "E". It bears against the trigger when the safety is engaged to prevent the trigger from being pulled. Right now the safety does t work at all. Any suggestions for where I can find a replacement? Other repair ideas?

Thanks!

If you like I could take a look at it and figure it out. But that begs the question how much is it worth to you??

Do you think I would be better off just to have a new trigger fit to it? Which one is best for a hunting rifle? I will want to keep the commercial style safety since the stock is already set up for it.

I would think it would probably be more cost effective to get a timney with the side safety than to start paying an hourly repair rate of a gunsmith for the repair. cant say for sure without seeing the project.

I would agree. The Timney is a much nicer trigger to boot.

Or, keep your eye out. There are Mk X take off triggers to be had. heck, I bet I have one in one of my bins.

If anyone has mark x take off trigger I would be interested in buying it, so long as it wasn't too much. Let me know!

Alaska Arms makes a nice Mauser trigger.
