Thanks Guys The Talleys sure are a good looking mount and Lightweight.
I am more interested in the Weaver type rings and mounts as I like the Versatility of being able to change scopes easier and to remove for travel and then tweak it when I put it back on rifle.
Have Warne medium 1" rings with the vertical split configuration on my T3 Lite. They clamp onto the grooves milled into the receiver like a vise. Clearance at the objective end of my VX III 3.5-10 is perfect, about 1/8". You can also get a QD version I believe. These rings have been very satisfactory, rugged, look good, easy to install. Customer service has been excellent re: my questions on lapping (they say you don't need to) and also providing torque specs. (25 in. lbs.)
