Ruger isn`t listing the Hawkeye All Weather on their website. Maybe they`re coming out with a different finish to the stainless steel?? Maybe bringing back the boat paddle stock??

Or maybe they are following Remington's marketing strategy?
Nah, Ruger has to be better than that!

Only stainless Hawkeyes now have laminated stocks. Predator, Target, Scout, etc.
There are a lot still in the pipe, though.
I have an All-Weather stock listed on Gunbroker

Maybe they figure they don't need a synthetic stock on a Hawkeye since they have the American.

Likely.
The sales slump following the Panic Surge probably has cause a glut of stuff on hand. No sense making more until that thins out. Nothing stops them from cranking up production again when the inventory drops.
They're going to concentrate on what sells. It's just good business.

If I was putting money on it, I'd say a new rifle was coming.

People haven't liked the finish on the All Weather Hawkeye from the first. I don't think it's gotten any more popular. I'm hoping something else is in the hopper. There are some available on CDNN. Get them while you can.

I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA

I had always heard they only put up on the site what they're currently making. That is when they do a run of lefty's - it will be up there, when they stop - it's off etc.
Dunno truth on that.

Ruger discontinued the left hand Hawkeyes at the beginning of this year. There are a still several left here and there, Bud's has some for around $660 but CDNN is selling them for $549.99. Get'em while they last...

I hope they manufacture composite stocks for the 77's like these. http://ruger.com/products/gunsiteScoutRifle/models.htmlApparently these are not cheap plastic stocks according to some of the reviews I have read, maybe someone on the forum can shed more light on this. I would think if they make them in-house it should not be too big a problem to manufacture a stainless 77 with a composite stock. Pieter

When I called Ruger several months ago, I asked if the new scout was a true composite (Kevlar, fiberglass, etc...) or injected plastic. I was told that it was plastic. Since then my desire for the "composite scout rifle" has diminished.
I won't drink the swirled Kool-Aid .....well, maybe, if it looks like wood
