Just read about a free range axis deer hunt, that said it was a "low fence operation".

How tall does the fence get when it becomes a non-free range hunt?

Just curious, and did not want to crap all over the thread.

"Free range" typically means the deer can come and go as they please. They aren't fenced in by a high fence (usually at least 8 feet). "Low fence" typically means a standard height barbed wire fence like those surrounding a cow pasture.

Every day on this side of the ground is a win.

It can be a high fence, (over 8') on all sides but one. As long as deer can go or come, or have the chance to, it's still considered free range.

A standard livestock fence is 5 strands of barbed wire and about 4 1/2 feet tall.
