I haven't hunted elk in 7yrs, I had a Arizona archery cow tag but man I went into that very unprepared, saw elk hell saw plenty of them but got nothing... I was going hunt last year in Colorado but I ended up in NTC for training so much hunting 4th rifle season in Colorado... The moose behind me the fella was shooting at it with a Remington autoloader 742 in 30-06 [bleep] who knows he was missing well I thought he was I asked him want to use my rifle he said yeah one shot one dead as moose. When we were cleaning it he hit it with his 06 in the guts man what a mess. He was 150gr bullets cor-lockts too.. First time moose hunting for him...
