Really weird stuff is happening.

I was driving to WV a couple of days ago... started in a rural area... 35 miles to a major interstate... lots of major interstate travel... back to rural areas.

Stopped at a fast food restaurant to get a bite to eat... drive thru only (NO ONE WILLING TO WORK, so only VERY FEW PEOPLE... NOT ENOUGH STAFF TO KEEP THE LOBBY AND BATHROOMS OPEN).

Drove down the road some more... another restaurant... another convenience store... no staff... one or two folks ONLY... pass through window for payment/buy stuff.  Lobby and restrooms closed. No restroom access.

Just for the curiosity factor tried a few more highway exits... same thing.

After about 100 miles, I pulled the truck over and left a load in the woods.

This stuff is getting 3rd world ridiculous...

Having to tell my wife she needs to travel with toilet paper and crap in the wood... damnation.

You haven't lived until you've left a load with no woods in sight.

Nothing but passing vehicles on the other side of your parked car.

The point and reason why is obvious --- too many places hiring with better pay and benefits nowadays to work at some low paying no or few benefits fast food restaurant / convenience store, known to be high risk for armed hold ups, especially those located where there's quick and easy access to major highways.

And a store-bought bucket at that! I thought everybody used hydraulic fluid buckets.

I do know a guy that had to hang his backside off his bow-stand when the bubble guts hit him hard. Then he had to climb down his stick ladder through all the wreckage. Probably let it rain a few times before hunting there again.

Been packing a roll or 2 in my truck for the last 20+ years. Stomach issues since I was about 8 so I never know when it's going to hit.

Have pulled over on the side of highways and gravel roads to use it too.

Swung into a truck stop a month or so ago in what I thought was an emergency. Walk into the schitter and on 3 or 4 stalls and 4 urinals. Waited about 5 minutes worried I was going to have to back up to a urinal if things didn't get better. The pain eased and I finally slipped up the road to a rest stop about 5 miles away. Who has ever seen a gas station/truck stop w so few toilets and urinals!!

Out w a bud 2 winters ago looking for coyotes when it hit him. I stopped right in the middle of a gravel road between 2 houses and he took a schitt right by the front tire of my pickup, had a few horses as an audience.

After he got back in the truck he let me know that he had been out half the night before wound up on Coronas.

Yup had that happen. I was coming home from a business trip to Boston and suddenly nature called and it wouldn't wait. I pulled onto an interstate ramp and drove onto the edge of the grass and ran into the woods out of sight from the ramp. The countdown had started and we were at t minus 1 so I dropped the drawers just ahead of the rush and let it go. Just then I heard honking and the woods that I ran through was just a narrow pile of trees separating the ramp from the main interstate. There I was in full view of everyone. To make matters worse I didn't have any TP. It wasn't my finest moment.

I have one of those at the storage unit, but mine has a garbage bag in it to keep the bucket clean. Gatorade bottles make a good emergency urinal if your bladder isn't too full.

Spent years long haul trucking, beside the tires, perched on the frame,
In a trailer into a Wal-Mart bag holding the handles, in a trash bag lined scrub bucket in the truck....worst was in the pants, sick with food poisoning.

To the OP.
It's not help, they can't find schidt paper!😁

Oh, forgot.
Somewhere on a US highway on a South Georgia evening, holding it
through a couple little burgs without a place to fit a rig.
Finally had to stop on a long, straight, flat stretch. Sat under the trailer,
between the drives and landing gear. When I left, there was a pile with paper in the middle of the road.

Only thing that would have been better ,is if it had been Jersey.

that would be one point......I also think the fast food places prefer just the drive up ...look at how much labor is saved...labor = money....less cleaning supplies = money etc .....where I am at there is to many businesses for the available labor market .

just not enough workers to go around......not always about people not wanting to work......bob

We used to go out to White Sands Missile Range for training. My platoon sergeant had a milk crate with a hole in it. Go out behind a mesquite bush, dig a hole, put the milk crate over it, do your business, and cover it all up. Well, it didn’t take the coyotes long to find the holes and dig it up. After three or four days, the coyotes could barely even contain themselves. You would be doing your business and a coyote would be sitting about fifty yards away just looking at you and waiting for you to finish. There wasn’t even much need to cover it up.

Thought so. I was lucky enough to enjoy that view daily for almost 6 mo when I lived in Kenai. I saw belugas and bald eagles all the time. I sure do miss it - almost as much as I miss the Big Dipper sandwich at Sal's Klondike.

Some years back I ate some frog leg gumbo that had turnt.

Ended up on the side of highway 18 about a shy mile of the Green River schitting my brains out during morning rush hour. I still feel bad for all the folks that drove by. It had to be traumatic. It sure as hell was traumatizing for me. I blew out everything I ever even thought about eating since birth and probably a solid 5 years of my life.

I’m still waiting for a news report blaming the Green River killer for the “human remains” found.

To this day there is still a patch of dirt where even weeds won’t grow.

Hell, traveling over Rural Oregon, I do that all the time.. keep a couple rolls of paper towels in the vehicles... the hefty picker upper... none of this flimsy TP stuff...

Hell transients are crapping on the side walks in down town Potlandia, Seattle, San Fran.. so I have no guilt about it... hey when ya gotta go, ya gotta go..

Finding a hunk of woods is no problem here in Southern Oregon....

SW VA and southern WVa is home for me.. when I go back there tho, compared to here.. it feels like I'm in town when I go back east.

I was out on Lake Nopissing ( honest to God name of the lake) on the border with Canada...in the Boundary Waters NP.

All of a sudden I had to go so bad the only place to go was over the side of my SeaRay....Forget to put the bucket in the boat.

Wiped my can, pulled up my pants, turn around to see my turds floating beside the boat, with about 50 fish goobling it up.

Me and my buddy quit fishing, and went back to the cabin.

I just left a 5 gallon bucket in the boat permanently after that.... Yuck! not one of my finer moments.
