Lol

Iā€™m skipping Nanaā€™s chrismuss breffust. Her 5am precooked then cold at 10am eggs, nasty red eye gravy with 1/4ā€ leathery skin atop, fried potatoes cooked in 3 year old crisco poured back into a metal coffee can and stored under the sink.

The magic is always in the brown speckled shredded lettuce. Standard whopper.

I even went no cheese, no mayo, no tomato

Sound Great ! Except for the creamed corn. šŸ˜¬

Mom would always make Succotash, which is just Lima beans and corn with lots of butter for our Holiday vegetable dish.
Of course along with a heap of mashed potatoes covered with gravy. And of course, deviled eggs, pecan pie, and lots of homemade Christmas Candy.

A salad with more ingredients than I can list, a two bone rib roast cut into 2 pound-and-a-half ribeyes (charcoal grilled), portabellas in wine sauce, baked sweet potato, and cold cranberry salad for dessert. And of course a nice Merlot.

I took some cooking instruction from SandBilly for our Rib Roast.

It turned out great ! The wife, who has traveled the world many times and eaten Prime Rib at Michelin restaurants, said it was the best rib roast she has ever eaten.

Thanks, SB !
