Convenience store nachos or chili cheese dogs to start with. Good enough to risk a DUI for. Sheetz version comes to mind. 7-11’s fixings’ bar coleslaw is dubious at best.
Back in the day it was White Castle hamburgers if there were any in the area or Perkin's Restaurant for a plate of "garbage Browns." The former would give you the worst gas you could imagine while both would keep you from getting too far from the toilet.
Convenience store food weren't very desired but the stores weren't as decked out in regards to food as today. If one even stopped it was to grab a Mt Dew, a candy bar, and a handful of gum in an attempt to cover the odor of an alcoholic beverage.
Waffle House. Steak, eggs and hash browns with as much shìt on them as your drunken ass can convey to the waitress.
LOL
I was at a Waffle House 20 years ago with a few buddies. All of us buzzed after plowing snow all night but keeping it respectful. My buddy ordered a steak well done but it came medium rare. He called the waitress over and said that he ordered it well done. She looked at it and said “well I mean I didn’t go to meat cooker school but that looks well done to me.” He wasn’t wrong but was kind of a thin dude that liked to complain about food. We ripped on him for years about that one.

What time do they close?
Waffle House never closes. If they're closed then you've got bigger problems than being drunk, like the Chinese invading.
There's actually a thing they call the Waffle House index which measures the severity of natural disasters by how quick a Waffle House reopens after hurricanes. Even if they don't have electricity they'll still be open even though they can only serve a few items.

Back when I was nineteen and hitting the bars regularly, after a good night of partying, we'd go to Sambo's. Don't think they are in business anymore but I always had steak and eggs, one of my buddies had chili cheese burgers. I loved that place but that was back in the late 70s.
Two best Waffle House memories are 2am me and a buddy took two girls we were with on the way home from a party. Girl I was with literally passed out face first Into a huge plate of grits. The other was around 2am Christmas Eve/Christmas morning and all I remember was we were drinking Jack Daniels green label and I had the smothered and covered hash browns.
I've made the drunken night run down to Sheetz for their personal pizza. Used to do the hot dogs (death dog's is what we called them) when the bars closed years ago in my youth.
White Castle's... aka "Chateau Blanc" for the upscale folks... aka "Skillet Scabs" for the common folk... There is a reason those gas station bathrooms got repainted on a regular basis...
35+ years ago, we'd come out of the bar or club, possibly with the sun just starting to peak up & head to the doner kabab stand/cart !
Ah, fun times, BC (before children) !
That looks delicious.
We didn't have donor kebab places back when I drank or it probably would have been a hit. And any gyro places in the 'hood would have been closed by bar time.
Wasn't drinking anymore by the time I was turned on to the pelmeni place in Juneau would certainly have done the trick and appeared to be a hit with the drunks leaving the downtown watering holes at the time.
We have a local coffee shop in the grocery store anchored strip mall where one of my favored hang outs was. Many plates of steak and eggs, biscuits and gravy, and when I was pretty sure the cook wouldn't screw it up liver and onions.
If there was an after party, or we convinced a bar owner to lock the doors and have a private party, sunrise food was at Jane's Country Kitchen where one could get some huge omelettes. Once having been there even the big eaters like myself stuck with a "medium: Machaca was my favorite. We always told the newbies to order a large one, and the looks on their faces were priceless when it came out and was set in front of them. I think they used a full dozen eggs and it was stuffed full of whatever was ordered.
At home, my all time favorite was tortilla pizzas. Large flour tortilla, cooked on a comal or large fry pan, spread with some canned pizza sauce or even better was leftover homemade sketti sauce, whatever meat might be handy excluding chicken (chicken has no place on a pizza of any type). Topped with mozzarella, grated Parmesan or Romano, hot pepper flakes. If there was no sauce around it might be corn tortilla quesadillas as there was almost always some Herdez Salsa Casera around.
Usually it was a couple slices of pizza right at the bar or Sabrett hot dogs with cheese from a sidewalk vendor but the best was a chicken and bacon sandwich from one of the convince stores. Breaded chicken cutlet with bacon, lettuce, tomato and mayo.
Unfortunately too much beer and pizza were often a bad combination for me, had a bad habit of not staying down. Didn’t stop me for some reason.
Best place ever was in the 1980s Atlanta, A guy and I down for a meeting that got out of hand where headed back to the hotel but needed some food. Got off the four lane in a schetchie part of town and had 3 fried pork chops, grits, apple pie and biscuits
Back in my party hearty days we would stop at the convenience store on the way home and get those foot long Slim Jims to make Slim Jim omelets. Pretty gross. Orange oil oozes out of them when you heat them up.
My drunk cravings are taken care of with advanced planning. Sweet and sour pork , fried rice and egg roll carryout. A few oz. of speyside scotch prior to indulging and another pour with. Cheap scotch works just fine. Dewar's White, Speyburn 10 or Famous Grouse will do.
G,s pancake house little breakfast buffet spread here in clarksvegas back in the day was a pretty good feed bag at 3 30 am after the bars closed.
Some honey babies liked to eat before getting railed. Some didnt. Sometimes you could pick up chicks in their little chick packs at G,s if ya struck out at the bar.

Cock on your mind, means you enjoy cock in your mouth.
Can't imagine why you posted this ? R U a poof ?
As usual, you commies don’t post the whole posting you are quoting, so you can spin it out of its original context, because you’re not a man at all, even when having a screen to hide behind.
Here’s the original, since you don’t have the balls to post all of it.

Dickflection much !
Buncha meaningless drivel.
As usual, you did not answer, my very direct, question !
Jackmountain: Haven't been "drunk" (IMO!) in well over half a century - its not a "moral" thing - alcohol is just to expensive and seems a waste to me. I would rather buy guns and ammo with my hard earned monies! Every once in a while I do get a craving for "Chinese Food" though - none hereabouts worth buying. I especially liked the Chinese Food from the various "Chinatowns" on the west coast when I lived and toured out there. Hold into the wind VarmintGuy
Damn Fellows! When I get drunk I crave puzzy. I just try the make sure it’s not too ripe or out of date. I have been wrong. One of the downsides of being drunk.
A box with 6 RAW Steakums slices crammed between two pieces of white bread. Squirt of mustard on the slobbery edge of bread between each bite.
Achieve this by placing frozen slabs of SteakUmm mystery meat in microwave just until they lose form and are foldable. 3 more seconds and they’ll ‘bleed’.
Good thing Im not drinking this week. Sounds a little dry-heavy just thinking about it.
Swig a chug of pickle juice to tamp the demons down afterward.
Back when I used to partake in the grape...I would cook at home....since we don't have restaurants.
I would take a pound of bacon ends and pieces, a large onion, a green pepper a bag of hashbrowns, a dozen eggs and a bunch of cheddar cheese. Chili powder, onion and garlic powder.

Steak-Ums!
How could I have forgotten those.
As good, if not better, than a frozen Stouffer's Creamed Chipped Beef with a good dash of Tabasco over whatever bread is in the house.

A couple of times I ate the whole thing.
Old skidrow dinner called Ye Old Hoosier Inn back 35 plus years had something similar we called the garbage plate. Topped theirs with chili beans.

Diners around here call it a skillet scramble, only they have sane quantities of each ingredient!
Cheap chinese. Laws yes you old fuggers remember them late night hole in the wall Mama San Papa San places with name like The Chopsticks.
The town over west had a Chinese laundry and opium den.
So...they also had Chinese food.
Dad liked the pork fried rice.
Still have a restaurant like that here local. Couple as a matter of fact been around since the 60's. This one Pops use to grab a bite at when he was a milkman for Crystal Dairy back in the late 60's. Said he could get a plate of winnies and rice covered in brown sauce with eggs for 50¢.
Same place 50+ years later owned by the grandkids now.
When I was stationed in Seoul, Korea many years ago, nothing tasted better than yaki mandoo after leaving the bars. Of course when i went to FT Hood, TX and visited a Korean restaurant the yaki mandoo was completely different and no where near as good......

South of skidrow on the other side of the tracks.
Upgraded from winnies to hamburger patties.
Not winnies or patties, but many a night brown gravy, rice, and hamburger meat (maybe a bit of onion cooked in it) was dinner at our place growing up. Usually had some sort of canned or frozen veggie on the side too. Never knew it was Chinese food, just thought of it as po' folks food.

This. Also soy and wasabi almonds. Dammit they get me every time
Chit, being married to an Asian wife, I get all kinds of, uhh, different food. Does make some kinda fried pork that is damn good; especially when liquired up a bit. Hell, at least she feeds me!

To be fair restaurant bills itself as American Chinese.
I was a spoiled brat as a kid. I got tortillas with my rice n' beans.
