When you think you've heard it all, more incompetence keeps coming out. At what point is it criminal negligence?

Quote
AUSTIN — In another stunning revelation about the Uvalde school massacre, state officials confirmed in testimony to a state Senate committee that a school district police officer trying to save his dying wife was stopped, detained and escorted away.
https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/crim...mp;cvid=24b2db453dad4f01852e36582cb16d66
The story just gets worse and worse.
They won't reveal who detained him and that will make it worse. They can cover this up only so long. They cannot change what happened and the coverup is making it worse. It is unfathomable that the situation keeps going so bad the more that comes out.
One would think they’d punish the incompetent boobs that allowed children to be massacred.

I think the problem may be there are too many to punish them all, so they won't punish any.
If they had done that to me, it would not be a good idea to EVER give me access to another gun again!
This keeps going downhill
“Escorted away”

I wonder how much physical force was used/required to detain him and remove him from the scene.

Im pretty sure several members here would have not gone quietly where blood and broken bones would have been involved.

Or maybe he was just another pussy cop and went without much persuasion.
No, the realization by good innocent thinking folk keeps going down hill. The rest of knew what it was from day one.
When does the authority become the enemy? They tried to stop a mother from going in there and she got in somehow and successfully got her two little girls out. A man goes in to save his wife and stopped . Ok, it makes sense if the police are going in to stop it. That would make sense , but to not go in and then tell others they can't . It tells us the police did not want to look like cowards by not going in. The mother is the hero. The husband was too. Is there a time when we just dont need the police anymore? Hurricane Katrina, the police ran home to save their own instead of helping. I wonder if I even support the police anymore. Two yrs. ago my mom went to a workout place . It is owned by a guy at church and he lets the old ladies go there an hour after church to work out. My mom said some Karen reported them and they came in there wit an attitude " YOU SHUT THIS PLACE DOWN!!! because of Covid. There were about 10 old ladies there. They support each other . Kind of like "" Look Betty, I did 10 1 lb curls in less than a minute!! Oh good for you Darla!!. They acted all tough but when the Kenosha riots were on, the only hero was Karl Rittenhouse. The cops stood there and watched. They can't stop a crime in the city or they are racist. If they do arrest , the criminal is sent right back in the streets. It seems to the point , we are on our own and we should settle this on our own and the police are just in the way.
As punishment, Civil suits may be the last resort...get the right jury, take their vested retirement, nothing a cop fears more. If the court can sieze retirement in a divorce settlement....why not here?

I don't think I'd call the husband of a murdered woman a "pussy cop".

Exactly. There was zero incompetence, it went just as they had planned.

Lets get real fella, they even try to get out of writing reports. They stop very little crime and it’s usually concerning low life’s at 0:230.
Coming from a public service career as a Firefighter / Paramedic, I always had utmost respect for my fellow officers. I seen what hiring quotas, preferential treatment for minorities did to a fire department. Promotion of incompetence because people couldn't perform the job so they were placed in higher ranks. The high command often promoted fall guys so when the SHTF they had someone to blame. I suspect this probably happened at Uvalde. The higher ups never imagined a worst case scenario as this. Here in my small town in Hickville USA the local police and Sherriff department seemed to expanded x4 in the last two years. I'm sure they hired a load of folks who left the metro Atlanta departments because of politics. Now when I drive into town there's literally a cop on every corner waiting to pull folks over for BS traffic violations. It pisses me off that what little money I have for gas, taxes and now I feel like I have to pay the blue mafia what little I have left. My respect is starting to wane.
Is it tinfoil time?
The more and more I learn the more it sounds to be a planned event.
It's training and SOP in America to a large extent,

It is heartbreaking that so many innocent lives were lost to expose these cowardly people and incompetence.
Saw on the “Evening News” where the Mayor of Uvalde was berating TX DPS as a “bunch of Liars” & “hypocrites”.

Sounds to me like the idiots that run Uvalde are in major CYA mode.

It wasn't a conspiracy.

Let's look for the simplest explanation. Uvalde has a school police force, six cops ruled by Chief Arredondo.
Who wants to be a school cop, but some Barney Fife wanting to put in his 30 years and get that good pension.
Knowing that the biggest problem they are likely to face is a 14 year old girl with 4 Percocet in her purse. "Put your hands behind your back, Maria, I am taking you to Juvie Lockup!" What an enforcer of law the school cop was on that day!

On a really big day, they catch a 16 year old punk, selling 3 ounces of pot out of his car in the school parking lot. A felony!

School cops will hardly draw "the Best and the Brightest" cops in the first place and obviously, Chief Arredondo is an incompetent , fat slug looking to put in his 30 years and then grab that fat pension. We have, what, 10,000 schools in America? And a school shooting, once every 3 years? The chance of a school cop having to deal with a school shooting is one in a million.

To explain this tragedy, let us look for incompetence, stupidity, and cowardice.

It didn't work if you really believe that.
They finally put the worthless school police chief on leave. That is the minimum. It should ramp up dramatically from there.

Pretty well sums it up.

Ya forgot to mention what Kaywoodie pointed out on another thread. They were probably all COUSINS.
Including the local LEO Force, Mayor, and the City Council Members who hired the Fat Idiot.
This was a crying shame all around. Unfortunately it is nearly impossible to stop someone who is totally committed to cause harm. Look at Israeli anti terror policies. As good as they are they still miss a few. Hasbeen
Hey now, Uvalde is "God's country."

DPS didn't sound too happy.

And why would the police chief be elected to the city council.Something just ain't right in Uvalde.

The problem with school cops going into CYA mode is that there's ususlly a couple of acres of "A" to try to cover!

Yep, I knew it almost immediately and started a thread about it, all the cop apologist jumped my sheit. I was right, again.
Its getting to the point, why bother
The Lt. will be along in a few to tell me what a commie I am. Oh sheit that reminds me, I ain't seen the Lt in any of these threads lately. Hey Lt, like you told me right after this first happened, FUQK YOU !!!!
If that’s them in the pictures they look like a bunch of fat fu’k out of shape scared a cats!

I'm quite sure he would. Every time.
There was a couple photos posted on this board of the whole school police crew. Notice the folded hands and [bleep] eating grins everyone had? Now, think back a 4-6 weeks when Polosi and her crew posed for pictures...they had the same folded handle and [bleep] eating grin on their faces. Is this some kind of "Hail Hydra", secrete hand shake pose BS?

Yeah right. Everything you know about police must have been learned watching TV. Bad TV at that. Either that or you get stories from Minnesota.....

Granted extra work does start at dark 2:30 when your brothers are out on the street.

Clinton/Lewinski, Pedophile Priests, Jerry Sandusky.
The cover up is always worse than the original issue.
Human nature, seems inclined to hide or lie.
Not be honest.
Often dragging the lies into the issue when they were not involved
until the coverup.

PS. Worse in the context of public relations and the damage to
whatever organization as a whole. The lie becomes the issue, overshadowing the original crime.

When you say "they" I don't believe it would include the incompetent and/or cowardly officers holding back. I don't believe they are standing in the hall thinking if just a few more children die then we will be able to take everyone's guns. I know there are a few very evil people in the world that would sacrifice children for their means, but I don't believe it is as widespread as you are suggesting.

I do believe they want to take our guns independently of heinous acts like this. Beto has said such, but he and others use any incident as a convenient excuse.
I’m just telling you where the sign is moron, but you can make up whatever “area” you want.

Some of you need to get your facts straight about that sign in Hondo on Hwy 90.

Reporting that Uvalde officials are blocking reporters access to information like videos, timestamps and testimony.

If they block the results of the Texas Rangers investigation then the pukes behind this event have a hell of a lot of power - as in US govt power.

Highway 90 starts going through the Medina Valley right at 1604 and Lackland’s “Medina Base” and you could call anything west or south of it “the valley”.

https://www.mvisd.com/

If the Border Patrol puts check points up and crops are grown, I call it “The Valley” regardless.

I will say there ain’t a damn thing I wanna see on 90 from 1604 in San Antonio to Van Horn except more Border Patrol !

I have no appreciation for the Big Bend region either, might as well drive to Lincoln County New Mexico for the Sacramento Mountains.

All I know is I used to play a lot out at Predator Paintball in Helotes - no clue what that's called.
Thats on 16 the start of Hill Country
I lived on NW Crossroads off 16. Was a decent area for what I had to do while living there. Course they moved my duty station once I left and it would have been REALLY primo then, bout 2 blocks away.
The whole place (helotes) sucks now because of population influx and dummies doing road work to make things smoother but makes it worse.

It takes about 25 minutes to go from Scenic Loop/16 to HEB at 1604/16 because of traffic lights and funky intersections. Thats about 3 miles !

I avoid SA at all costs.

Hell, when headed NW, it's quicker to go through Austin now.

That's saying a lot... 281 out of SA was a nightmare last time.

I have no appreciation for the Big Bend region either, might as well drive to Lincoln County New Mexico for the Sacramento Mountains.

Crossing the river in Big Bend to Boquillas is a must, but otherwise, yeah, why would I go to Big Bend when there’s New Mexico?

What about Balmorhea! Don't go swimming.

Of course you know this from all of the time you spent in the law enforcement profession.

You don't have to be a doctor to know basic first aid, and you don't need to be in law enforcement to know about
the corruption and protection.

Roger, being smarter than you, always takes the right bullets for his rifle, and he knows I've hunted all over Texas and generally still do.

That mo-fo don’t bother me because I’m the only Air Force person pictured at the museum in Port St Lucie. And there is a school named after me in Florida.

I only fear running out of toilet paper because I have tried everything else.

True.

Have to admit that sometimes it is like kicking the can down the road. However, it is usually Administration that is kicking the can, not the rank and file guys.

I passed on Ft Davis too, I was sticking to Hwy 90.

Incidentally Hwy 90, Van Horn to Del Rio, is considered one of the hardest bicycle rides in the Lower 48. Looong stretches w/out water.
When someone says the Valley, People from here are going to think of the RGV, if it's somewhere else you need to say Fio river valley or Nueces, in the hill country.

Yes!

I’ve been saying the same exact thing for YEARS!

Do you disagree with the RogueHunter or are you trying to appear relevant since you were a serious lawman with the puddle police? 😂

Lets use your example of “Frio River”. Its generally referred to as the “Frio Canyon” and most other areas concerning the rivers in “Hill Country” are the same farther north of hwy 90.

I’ve already explained what is considered “The Valley” and “God’s Country” but some are too ignorant to understand it.

Maybe because y’all are a product of “public school”.

Deflave is not even a proficient smart azz.
You don't seem to want to accept the fact you're dealing with an expert in warfare, with a man who's the best, with guns, with knives, with his bare hands. A man who's been trained to ignore pain, ignore weather, to live off the land, to eat things that would make a billy goat puke. In over 360 combat missions his job was to dispose of enemy personnel. To kill! Period! Win by attrition. Well Johnnyloco was the best.

Any yet Col. Troutman still got caught by the russians and it took goat herders to rescue him.
Goat herders are tougher than Navy SEALs and almost as capable as my kind.

Wish I was jokin but I ain’t.
