Then left her here, and moved to Thailand, married another one! The one he left here worked and paid his the house off, and got the title. She then took him to court and received a judgement! Not to mention no place to live here! Last I heard the feds are holding his SS, and he can't fight it because he needs to be here for hearings! He was one of those in high school, that never dated because he was odd. Couldnt talk to the girls, and probably never got laid, except by mother thumb and her daughters! His brother was the opposite, and always had some gal hanging on him! The brother keeps me informed on his adventures! He calls them the adventures of my stupid brother!

Typical scenario:
Blue collar Guy in his late 40's or 50's. meets a Hawt Russian gal in her 20's or 30's on the internet. He has never been abroad in his life and could find Russia or Ukraine on a world map. He doesn't know a word of Russian she doesn't even know how to say "Hi" in English. He travels to Russia or Ukraine to meet his prospective bride. . Shows up at embassy at Kiev, Moscow or St Petes with his gal. . I ask the guy during interview does he know what the heck he's getting into and almost all were clueless. I speak to the gals in Russian and Ukraine and ask why are they doing this and of course all said they love him and smiled. I told them they're full of BS and want the visa to the US. and warn the guys but they don't listen.
Dated a bunch of gals when I worked there so pretty much understood the mentality. There a few, very few, good gals with character but the vast majority were typical Russian scammers.

As a guy married to a Chinese woman (not mail order), I can tell you beyond a shadow of a doubt that she put him on a diet and an allowance. They can save money like nobody’s business. They can stretch a penny forever and they despise debt. They will try to control their men through puzzy or otherwise, but it’s honestly with good intentions...it’s just their culture. Mine hasn’t been very successful as I’m a hard-headed Kraut. I have decided to let her handle the money because she is very good at it. It doesn’t hurt that for the first time in my life I am with a woman who brought more money into the relationship than I did.
No experience with mail orders, but several service buddies years back linked up with gals in Thailand when we were stationed there. About half worked out, and the other half harvested front end money, but were nowhere to be found when it was time to close the deal. In the Philippines, it's completely normal for a family to try and marry a daughter off to anyone with money to advance the family status. Thailand was pretty much the same as the Philippines, but the women were hotter ( or were they really lady boys ? ). In Thailand it was common to see grey haired white guys with young hotties. I got hit on more in Indonesia than any other country being a semi grey haired middle aged guy.
I really liked the people in Thailand and Philippines, they are generally super nice but both countries are very poor by western standards. Anything from Russia would be way more scary, that's a different culture. No one I know has done the mail order bride thing, doesn't make much sense to me since you could fly over and meet all the girls you want in places that are not meat markets.
My buddy Dr Cap is 76 now i think, Argentinian. He always has 20 something girlfriends.Known him for 20 yrs. The modern version of mail order is online dating sites. I don't know how the odds of getting a good one compare. There are some real losers on any of those sites. After my 1st wife died, I got on a Christian site. Being a Christian site certainly doesn't guarantee anything but the odds of meeting a good one are probably slightly better.
