Got my 870 Trap gun out and loaded it with WW 3 1/4 1 1/4-4's.. We started off though the sage and didn't make 50 yards when she bounded the first bird.. As she was retrieving it, she hit the rest of the covey.. A second shot and we had our limit..
Nice birds- we can't hunt sage grouse up here, they have petered out in Alberta. BTW, love that Wingmaster! Cat
