Oil and Gas. I deploy an electromagnetic cable into oil and gas wells. Some days I run instruments that take readings of the quality of a cement job, while simultaneously taking readings of the geology and radiological resistivity of different formations in the ground. Other days I deploy multiple shots of high explosives into the wellbore and set them off at pre determined depths to allow the flow of hydrocarbons to the surface. Some might consider that a cool job.
