I finished a couple of new jigging rods this winter with the help and expertise of another 24hr member, 358Norma_fan. I built the rods off Seeker blanks and used titanium guides to better fend off saltwater. The only thing saltwater won't screw up is saltwater....and (hopefully) titanium.
For the logo, I used a vinyl cutter (Cricut Explore Air) to cut silver vinyl into stickers. Once the stickers were on the rod, I coated them with epoxy. Here is the bling:
We took the boat out for the first time this season. I had lots of new gear to break in, including the rod pictured above. I gave it to my brother to run it through it's paces, and he did an admirable job getting it sighted in for the season.
We boated seven halibut. The biggest was 60-inches, with the rest ranging from 37 - 45 inches. We added a few yellow eye to the fish box, as well, to bring it some color. Not a bad day on the water, not at all.
