You are no more mad than the rest of us (and probably more sane than a lot of guys here lol) it will be interesting to see what you come up with.
I like what IMR 4451 showed in a 30-06 I had, a 7mm Rem Mag with 154 gr Hornady's Spire Points and also my 260 Rem with 130 gr Sierra HPBT bullets. Like you I'm going to try it in my 270 Win with 140 gr Sierra's but in this case the HPBT version again. Expecting good things in the 270 and IMR 4451 will end up being a go too powder. So far other than some loads in my old 270 H 4831 sc has given good accuracy but poor velocities in a number of different rounds so I'm switching to IMR 4451 and H 4350 on the fast side and IMR 7977 on the slow side. Hearing great things about RL 23 and 26 so far as well........
