I bought a Hawkeye from the 24HCF classifieds. I am using factory Hornady 225g loads. It is yet to be bloodied, but to the Oregon bear opened the 1st, and I carried it last Sunday.
I am confident it is up to the task of elk hunting this fall. It is lighter than my 300 Weatherby, and I am getting older.
