Got my eye on a used Marlin 883ss 22 mag. It has a laminated stock. The rifle is missing it's inner ammo tube. The bolt and were the bolt rides in the receiver is very scratched up. Were they this rough from the factory? Otherwise it's in nice condition. Serial# 044989xx. Asking price is $300. I recall reading that these were good, accurate rifles. Anyone care to comment on them and/ or offer advise?
